NORTH End have signed a new striker. He is 6ft 7ins tall and is an All England 200m champion despite the fact he has only just turned 18.
Fola Onibuje has signed on a junior contract until the summer of 2004, mirroring the current YT contracts.
Fola, was with Charlton Athletic as a junior but decided to stay at college to take his A-levels before deciding to go back to football.
PNE's director of youth Simon Davey said of the signing: "Fola is a raw talent which we feel with 20 months of development should help him progress.
"He gives us another option in the squad and his pace should prove a real asset. Hopefully he will progress and have a good future ahead of him."
PNE chairman Derek Shaw added: "He's a young London lad recommended by Simon Davey and he's played in a couple of games and impressed.
"Because all our scholar places have been filled we have given him a junior contract for this season and next year.
"He's a big lad who Simon sees potential in."
