WALSALL has never been a favourite venue for PNE. We have had some bad results there over the years, but last Saturday's match was as bad as it gets.

Forget the fightback, the performance was disgraceful and but for the opposition 'keeper getting himself sent off we would have been hammered out of sight.

The manager promised we would 'tighten up at the back', he must have forgotten to let the players know because the defending was once again shambolic.

It has been written elsewhere by supporters that the manager is losing the confidence of the fans and we agree.

Craig Brown is a nice bloke, he talks a good game, and he is brilliant at the Fans Forums, but he needs to start winning footbal matches -- and soon.

The next few games are vital, we can't really afford to lose any of them, but look at the next three fixtures - Reading, never easy opposition and bang in form at the moment.

Portsmouth, runaway leaders of the division, although we do have a decent record against them. And Burnley - no easy games from that lot!

We are not yet in a relegation battle but if we don't start winning soon we certainly will be.

It took us years to climb back up the football league ladder; it'll take no time at all to go tumbling back down it again!
