FIREMEN from Whitefield fire station came to the rescue of a 91-year-old woman after a domestic flooding.
Officers were called to the pensioner's home in Apollo Drive, Whitefield, on Monday (Oct 21). A blockage in the toilet caused the flood which the firemen cleared and then mopped up at the scene.
They also helped to defrost her iced-up fridge freezer which could have caused a second flood.
