THREE new members are being recruited for the Burnley Community Warden Scheme which is expanding into Daneshouse and Stonyholme.
It is hoped the new wardens will be fully trained and on the streets by the end of January 2003.
Anyone who wants to know more about the role of the community wardens or would be interested is invited to attend an information session and video presentation on Thursday, November 7 at 12 Lowerhouse Lane, between 6pm and 7pm.
THE committee from Rosegrove Railway Club recently went on their well-deserved annual outing to Cleveleys.
They have worked hard during the last year for the benefit of club members.
Changes have been made to the club with a new lounge where members can now relax in comfort, entrance, new toilets.
The club also plans to install Close-circuit TV cameras shortly while other improvements are also to follow.
THE Christmas tree at the Peace Garden at the junction of Liverpool Road and Rosegrove Lane has now been planted, along with more trees on Gannow Lane have now been planted.
Members of Rosegrove Action Group would like to join the rest of the community to offer thanks to the Forest of Burnley and the volunteers who helped on the day.
KEN Tomlinson of Greenbrook Church, Greenbrook Road, is once again appealing for donations to buy birthday pens.
Each month these pens are presented to people who celebrate their birthday.
