PENDLE police have renewed their appeal for motorists to help reduce the number of thefts from vehicles in the area.
They say many take place because vehicles are left unlocked or with valuable items clearly on view.
Nelson-based Inspector Paul Robinson said motorists should ensure their vehicle is locked, use a car alarm and immobiliser if they have one and park securely.
Other advice includes keeping cars in secure garages, moving valuable items from display and reporting any suspicious activity to police.
