BLACKPOOL RANGERS U14s 2

OSWALDTWISTLE VILLA U14s 4

A disappointing Lancashire Cup second round display by Rangers which was reflected in the scoreline, a 2-4 home defeat against inferior opposition. The visitors scored first via a corner but a smart move by Rangers quickly levelled the scores and at that time it was the home team who looked likely to win the game. However, against the run of play Villa scored again to make it 1-2 at the interval. A poor second half display saw Villa ease through to the next round with a 2-4 win. Scorers for Rangers were James Aitcheson and James Smith.

LYTHAM JUNIORS A U10s 0

BJFF A U10s 6

On a heavy pitch BJFF settled quickly playing some fine flowing football which gave them a 2-0 half time lead thanks to a Josh Derome double. BJ wrapped up a great team performance after the break, with man of the match Derome adding three more to his tally. Hard working Joseph Nicolson-Smith notched the fourth from a fifteen yard direct free kick.

LYTHAM JUNIORS B U10s 0

BJFF B U10s 5

BJFF again adapted better to the worsening conditions, frequently testing the Lytham keeper which brought first half goals from Jamie Gill and Kristian Boney. The BJ midfield took complete control after the break leading to three more quality goals, two from the excellent Ashley Bird with a Daniel Howarth strike in between.
