THAT was the theme of the latest workshop staged by Bury's Groundwork Business Environment Association which asked the question "Whose Risk is it Anyway?"
The risk assessment event, which was held at the organisation's Link House was well attended with 16 delegates from ten local companies.
Groundwork stress that risk assessments are one of the most important health and safety exercises carried out in the workplace. There is also a legal requirement under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Speakers included Kevin Heywood and Mick Mann, health, safety and environmental advisers at Groundwork Bury. Additional help was provided during the workshop by Groundwork Bury director Mike Kinsella.
Delegates who wish to take a further advanced qualification, can attend Bury College (BEA Patrons) Business Solutions course on November 26-27. Ring 797 4325 for details.
