THE man who has helped to put Radcliffe on the international art map paid a flying visit to the town on Friday (Oct 17).
Ulrich Ruckriem, who created the stunning "Standing Stones" sculpture in Outwood Country Park, visited Riverside Gardens, where he hopes to install a new work.
Principal arts officer Tony Trehy said: "He was very impressed with the gardens and although he has already got some designs in mind for stone seating, he was so inspired that he started improvising more sketches on the spot."
