POLICE in Great Harwood are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in his own home.
The 56-year-old answered the door to his house in Byron Square, Great Harwood, at 5.25am on Thursday.
He was confronted by two youths, one of whom produced a carving knife. They threatened him and demanded money.
His accomplice went into the living room and stole £700, which was on a table. The youths were both aged 16 to 18, around 5ft 7ins tall, and slim. Both had dark hair and were wearing dark clothing.
DC Ian Proctor, of Great Harwood CID, said: "It was a disturbing incident and the offenders need to be identified as soon as possible. The victim was extremely shaken up by the incident."
