WHETHER it was to help Clarets boss Stan Ternent's recovery or to mark the latest goal scoring feat from Dimitri Papadopoulos is unclear but there was a special delivery to Turf Moor this week - a bag of "Dimi" grapes!
The origin of the grapes is not clear but unlike the other Dimi they are not from Greece. But throw one of them hard enough and they can beat him for pace although they would be crushed by a Dean West cross while the other Dimi headed the leveller from just such a ball at Portman Road.
There is of course on other fruit in the Clarets side, the famous Ian Cox's apples that grow on a Graham Branch. There is a Cook to prepare them but I will spare you any Moore shocking puns.
Bad memories for Payton
+BURNLEY reserves are back in action on Wednesday night when Tranmere Rovers are the visitors to Turf Moor.
The game is only the second in the month for Ronnie Jepson's side and it is likely he will again be naming a very young line-up.
One man who has very painful memories of this fixture last season is the experienced striker Andy Payton who suffered a massive gash on his leg after a first minute tackle.
ONE ex-Claret made it into the top 50 of the greatest ever British sportsmen but it is fair to say it had nothing to do with his exploits at Turf Moor.
Legendary England midfielder Paul Gascoigne was the name in the frame, coming in at number 43 but it safe to say his cameo as a Clarets did little to enhance his reputation.
Ceefax watcher
CLARETS chairman Barry Kilby missed the trip to Ipswich because he was on a family holiday in the north of Scotland.
That meant a nervous evening staring at Ceefax as he was in an area where there was no mobile phone reception to allow him to keep in touch with events at Portman Road.
Manager Stan Ternent reportedly bit off one of his ulcers as Dimi got the equaliser, did the chairman do a Highland Fling?

Turf trivia
FOR this week's Turf Trivia, can you name the two teams that played an FA Cup semi-final at Turf Moor, and when?
The answer to last week's question is that Burnley's 1-0 win at Filbert Street was the last time there was a third place play off in the FA Cup.
