JUBILANT residents of Blacko were today celebrating after coming top in the Lancashire Best Kept Village competition.
Blacko took the prize for the best small village.
And Sabden too, had a lot to celebrate after Janet Rudd, who runs the Gardening Club at Sabden Primary School, accepted the Lower Key Stage 2 Schools Award.
Roughlee took the prize for the best caravan site.
Ribble Valley hamlets were celebrating after they received their awards for coming top.
Harrop Fold near Clitheroe was the winner of the hamlet class in the prestigious competition, with Bashall Eaves and Walker Fold highly commended.
And Chipping took the Shop Award.
The awards were presented at a prizegiving ceremony at West Bradford Village Hall on Saturday.
Nearly 100 villages entered this year's Lancashire Best Kept Village competition and they were visited throughout June and July by 115 teams of judges.
