COMMUNITY groups are being targeted to help make roads safer.
Blackburn with Darwen Council for Voluntary Service's Community Action Pack is being launched on Wednesday from 12.30pm at Bootstrap Enterprises, 35/37 Railway Road, Blackburn.
The pack, produced by the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety, is designed to support groups wanting to help make roads safer.
It shows how groups can access funds to contribute to the objectives of the partnership -- a reduction in speeding and drink driving and an increase in the wearing of seat belts.
The pack also contains ideas for projects and initiatives, a who's who of agencies responsible for highway maintenance and road safety, details of local community safety partnerships, and other facts related to the partnership.
