TODMORDEN Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is going up in the world with a high-rise adventure.
Three plays will mark the opening of the Hippodrome Theatre's Studio Production Season later this week - Feeding The Ducks, Jumping Off and All Of The Monkeys.
The studio productions were started three years ago as a way of introducing new performers and directors to the theatre, as well as encouraging the performance of plays which normally wouldn't by staged in the main auditorium.
The performance evenings have proved to be extremely popular with local audiences, as it gives them the opportunity to see three one-act plays in an evening
Feeding The Ducks and All Of the Monkeys were written by Michael Park, who will be in the audience on Saturday night.
They are based around two strangers who meet on a park bench.
The third play, Jumping Off, is a high-rise comedy with a twist.
Gwyn Buckley, Rachel Rogers, James Claxton, Lucy Church-Taylor, Michael Church-Taylor, Brenda Bell, Kenneth Marshall, Emily Bell and Andrew Rawlinson perform the three plays which have been directed by Shirley Horsfall, Andrew Rawlinson and Katrina Heath.
They will be staged at the Hippodrome Theatre on Friday and Saturday , at 7.30pm.
