THE MAYOR of Burnley was given an insight into the changing face of the town as he made a presentation to winners of a photographic competition.
Councillor Gordon Birtwistle proudly hosted the ceremony at Burnley Town Hall and awarded all winners with certificates.
The competition was designed to highlight the benefits Single Regeneration Budget funding has brought to the town in recent years.
Helen Parnell, SRB manger, said: "The standard of entries was really high, we received some really good pictures and the kids used their imagination and computer technology to come up with some colourful images."
Jonathan Miller, 15, collected the prize on behalf of Excellence in Cities Gifted & Talented Summer School held at St Hilda's High School, Burnley, who won with a photographic montage of town centre images.
The winner of the age 17 and over category was Bob Rawlinson of Burnley with an interior shot of Burnley's new bus station.
