AN EMPTY shop unit in Hibson Road, Nelson, could remain that way for a while longer if Pendle councillors follow planners' advice to refuse plans for it to be turned in to offices.
The unit at 8 and 10 Hibson Road was, until recently, a greengrocers and before that a second-hand furniture shop.
Ribble Valley Care Ltd, based in Great Harwood, have applied to use the double fronted property as offices.
But planning officers at Pendle Council have recommended it for refusal because it would create too many non-retail units.
