GREEK keeper Nik Michopoulos is on his way back to Burnley after playing four games in a month while on loan at Crystal Palace.

The international star was signed on loan by Trevor Francis as cover for the injured pair of Matt Clarke and Alex Kolinko but the Palace boss said: "Kolinko is fit again and his month is up so we will be sending Nik back to Burnley."

Michopoulos lost his place in the Clarets side when Marlon Beresford came back ahead of the match at Derby when they won for the first time this season.

Beresford is currently in talks about a new contract and Michopoulos will be determined to put pressure on him for a place in the side.
