MALCOLM Cocking gave a faultless display on his 500cc Triumph as the Northern British Bike Championship came to an end on Sharney Fold in Bacup.
The Oldham rider negotiated the 32 observed sections without picking up a penalty point to win his class for pre-1965 bikes.
The last of the six event series on a multi terrain course attracted 67 riders on bikes and side cars -- some dating back to the 1930s.
The course was set across 25 miles of road and track around Bacup where riders had to successful ride through, over or around sections with stopping or putting their foot down.
And Cocking was the only rider to finish with no penalties.
Shane Lockley on a AJS finished with three points as did Richard Thorpe on a Sprite and Andy Littler who also rode a Triumph.
Steve Cordon on a Greaves and Tony Peat on a Triumph finished with six points while Pete Carson, on a BSA, picked up nine faults.
And Eric Boocock, ex-captain of the England Speedway team, picked up 11 faults.
The annual event also included classes in Pre-Unit Girder Forks Rigid, Pre-Unit Telescopic Rigid and Pre-Unit Springers.
There was also the Vintage Two Strokes and Two Strokes, Unit Construction and the popular Sidecars and Specials.
