IF EVERY Lancashire Evening Telegraph reader donated a tin of food all the destitute and needy in the area could be fed this Christmas.
That's the claim by Wendy Hobson, the organiser of the 'Be a Star, Light Up Someone's Christmas Campaign'.
We have joined forces with the Blackburn Partnership Europrint Community Involvement Project's annual campaign.
Donations of tinned food or new toys will be accepted at our offices in Blackburn, Accrington and Darwen. Wendy pointed out that new toys would be preferable over second-hand goods and that donated items do not have to be top of the range.
The 'Be a Star' scheme aims to help local businesses improve Christmas for the needy.
Our offices are in the High Street on the Boulevard, Blackburn, in Edgar Street, Accrington, or Bridge Street, Darwen.
