RMI manager Steve Waywell has turned down a move to Hyde United and pledged his future to Leigh.
Waywell was approached by the Tameside club and offered an attractive package to take over at the Ewen Fields less than two weeks after they sacked former boss David Nolan.
But after guiding the Railwaymen to the Conference, he said that he felt loyalty to the club: "The future is bright at Leigh and there is a lot of work to be done so I can't leave now. On top of which, the fans have been really great to me through good times and bad and they make me want to stay."
