I HAVE been asked by Blackburn with Darwen's tourism and marketing unit to conduct a heritage tour of areas mentioned in "The Road to Nab End," William Woodruff's best-selling book about his childhood years in Blackburn.
Obviously, I have read the book, but I do need help from the good folk of Blackburn. Firstly, William refers to the King's Arms pub. I cannot find it. I also need to find the exact area of Nab End.
I would also like to meet anyone who personally knew characters mentioned in the book.
I am convinced that this tour will be a highly successful tourism venture with many overseas visitors coming to Blackburn.
But I do need more information to make the tour 100 per cent genuine. I can be contacted on 01200 426821 or 07879231705.
