ROVERS ditched the usual coach and air travel arrangements yesterday, opting instead to arrive in Glasgow by train.
And there were a few surprised faces at the City's central station as Souness whisked his players off platform nine before heading for the team hotel.
"I thought we'd take the train because it's only two and a half hours and the lads had a chance to have some breakfast and stretch their legs," explained Souness.
"When we played CSKA Sofia it was a four-hour plane journey, a two-hour time difference and not a lot of interest.
"Now it's a short journey, there will be two sell-out crowds and a great deal of interest.
"The decision to go by train was a democratic one.
"We went down to London that way last weekend and I asked the players what they wanted to do."
