ANYONE interested in becoming a community warden is invited to take part in information sessions.
The events have been organised by Burnley Borough Council as three new posts are advertised to help patrol the streets and support communities.
The new jobs will increase the number of community wardens from eight to 11 and the extra staff are expected to be deployed in the Stoneyholme, Duke Bar and Daneshouse districts.
The scheme is funded through the European Union to promote cleaner and safer areas in the town.
Managers from the scheme will be available to discuss their work at information session on Wednesday, November 6, at the Training and Employment Access Point, Brougham Street, between 10am and 11am and 4pm and 5pm; on Thursday, November 7, at the One Stop Shop in Springfield Street, between 5 and 6pm and 7 and 8pm and at Rosegrove Action group Shop in Lowerhouse Lane between 6pm and 7pm and on Monday, November 11 at the Stoops and Hargher Clough Community centre, Venice Street, Burnley, between 11am and noon and 2pm and 3pm.
For more information please contact the community wardens offices on 01282 477302.
