BAMBER Bridge FC have been given the go-ahead to sign new players after their embargo was lifted by the UniBond League.
Since the embargo was imposed, because of the club's financial difficulties, team manager Paul Byron has struggled to raise a team for some matches.
But league officials have lifted the ban after examining documents from the club indicating its financial situation.
The news could not come soon enough for Brig manager Paul Byron who hailed the decision as time for club to make a fresh start.
He said: "It's been a bit of a nightmare so far this season. All the players have mucked in and they've been superb.
"But for some games we've down to one substitute on the bench. I've even had to consider playing the physio I've been that desperate!
"It was ridiculous because we've had former players willing to help us out by playing for nothing and youngsters in the reserves who have been keen to play, but there was just no way we could sign them on."
"But now we have the chance to make fresh start. There is some stability at last both on and off the pitch.
"And now I can start bringing new players in to strengthen the squad. I've been looking at a couple and should be ready to sign them next week.
"Our immediate aim is just to stay in this division. The team has done well so far but I think they've been running on adrenaline.
"Now we have to roll up our sleeves and maintain our form."
