AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a 56-year-old man whose car crashed into a lamppost on October 26.
The hearing, at Burnley Magistrates Court was told John Paul Brear, of Quarry Bank Court, Leeds, died after the smash in Keighley Road, Laneshawbridge. A post mortem had been carried out and the results of tests were awaited. Further enquiries were being made into the accident.
Coroner's Officer Bob Wilson said Mr Brear, who was identified by his daughter, was to be cremated.
