CLARETS keeper Nik Michopoulos has extended his loan spell with First Division rivals Crystal Palace for another two months.

Earlier this week, the Eagles boss Trevor Francis had indicated that he would be allowing the 32-year-old international to return to Turf Moor following the return of Alex Kolinko from injury.

Michopoulos played in four games during the month, but for the last two matches, including Tuesday's win against Walsall, he has been on the bench with Kolinko back in the team.

But with Clarke out with a long-term knee problem, Francis has decided to keep Michopoulos for a further two months after his initial spell expired after Tuesday's game.
