POLICE rung up a resounding success at a mobile phone security marking weekend.
A total of 2393 phones were branded with the owners' postcodes at sessions in Leigh and Wigan town centres and superstores -- when participating owners were supplied with a registration card and crime prevention pack.
The initiative was organised by PC Kath Bromilow, Wigan's youth development officer, who said: "It is a brilliant result."
