MEMBERS of Shipley's Bingo will soon be shouting "House!" in a new £2.5 million home.
After seven and a half years in Windermere Road the company behind the successful Leigh bingo hall has decided its time for a change.
Shipley's will relocate to a more central site at the former Pioneer supermarket in Ellesmere Street, Leigh, conveniently close to the bus station, market and main town centre shopping area. Work will start next month on the new luxurious hall and it will hopefully be completed by early next year.
New name
With the move comes a new name -- BJ's Luxury Bingo. And, in keeping with that, new features will include large comfortable seating, big-screen TVs, air conditioning, a large car park, as well as the renowned well-stocked bar, an improved dining area, large non-smoking area and disabled facilities.
Manager, David Hillery is hoping the bigger, brighter and better hall will attract additional members to their current list which totals 30,000. Existing members can expect to receive details of the development in writing, and will need to renew their membership when BJ's opens.
