AN AXE-SWINGING robber attacked a 16-year-old boy near Bispham High School, on Bispham Road, Blackpool in the early hours last Sunday, October 20.

The offender held the weapon in both hands to aim the long-handled axe at the youth's head. The teenager managed to dodge the blow but the offender took another swing at his leg causing cuts.

Two other gang members had previously thrown punches at the boy as he walked along the road and had tried to wrestle him to the ground. The 16-year-old fought back and grounded one of the assailants.

The boy managed to run away and the offenders ran off in a southerly direction.

One man is described as white, around 5ft 11in tall, of medium build and wearing a blue, padded, waist-length coat. He did not speak with a local accent.

A second male, also white, was approximately 5ft 11 in tall, with a heavier build than the other. He wore a black bubble coat, blue jeans and a black hat.

A HUNGRY thief grabbed four packets of chicken breasts and a cooked chicken from a petrol station before running off.

The offence took place at the Safeway Garage, Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, between 12.40pm and 12.50pm on Saturday, October 19.

The robber is described as a white male, around 24 years old with mousey short hair. He was wearing a cream jacket, blue fleece, blue tracksuit bottoms and possibly kickers or Rockport boots.

A 33-YEAR-OLD woman was indecently assaulted by a teenage youth as she walked along the street near the junction of Holmefield Road and St Thomas Road, St Annes.

The offence occurred at around 5.20pm on Wednesday, October 23, when a man followed the female for approximately 50 yards before committing the assault. He then made off along Church Road.

The youth is described as white, around 5ft 7in, of slim build, with a pale, smooth complexion and medium-length, rough-cut hair.

He was well-spoken and wore a dark blue, long-sleeved sweatshirt top with three white bands around the top of each arm and dark blue trousers.

HEARTLESS burglars snatched a Cancer Research charity box from a Blackpool shop.

The two men also stole cash from the till in Healds Day and Nite shop in Whitegate Drive at around 7pm on Tuesday, October 22.

One is described as white, in his late teens to early 20s with short brown hair, of medium build and wearing dark clothing.

His accomplice, who is also white, is around 5ft 8in tall and in his early 20s.

He was wearing a white baseball cap, blue jacket with white streaks under each arm and brown trousers.

A THIEF who attempted to break into a flat in George Street, Blackpool, ran off when the occupants returned home.

The offence took place at around 2.35am on Saturday, October 19.

The burglar is described as a white male, in his mid 20s, around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build and with dark hair worn over his ears.

He wore a black bubble jacket and dark jeans.
