HOW'S this for a Mrs Bucket? A new neighbour doesn't like getting her car wheels dirty!
I'd cleaned my car on the track behind my house and was in another part of the garden when I saw her glare at the water which had formed puddles on the pebbled area.
She spotted me and asked snappily if I'd washed my car there because she didn't like using the drive when it was wet because she got her tyres mucky. Stands back in amazement. I wouldn't mind but her vehicle is no Ferrari, merely an R-reg Astra.
Stunned though I was, I refrained from telling her where to go. Friendly neighbours are always better than warring ones.
