THE cookery secrets of the Northcote Manor kitchens are to be laid bare to raise cash for a college library.
Chef Nigel Haworth and business partner Craig Bancroft, of the award-winning Northcote Manor in Langho, are to spill the beans during a Christmas cookery demonstration at the Centenaries Theatre, Stonyhurst.
The event, on November 11, is in aid of the Tolkien Library at St Mary's Hall, the preparatory school at Stonyhurst College.
It is called Secrets from the Kitchen at Northcote Manor and will include tips and guidance on how to cook for a winter dinner party.
A gourmet night for two with a champagne reception and overnight stay at Northcote Manor will be up for grabs in a prize raffle.
A Christmas flower-arranging workshop will also take place in aid of library funds at the De Tabley Bar and Grill, Ribchester, on November 26, from 10am to 4pm.
The event includes morning coffee, a two-course lunch and materials.
Tickets for the cookery demonstration are £10 and for the flower-arranging class £30. They are available from St Mary's Hall on 01254 826242 or Jacqueline Bury on 01200 440484.
