BURNLEY boss Stan Ternent has today put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him in charge at Turf Moor until the end of next season.
The one year contract extension was agreed with chairman Barry Kilby after talks and is a timely boost ahead of tomorrow's match at Preston.
Ternent's assistant Sam Ellis has also agreed to a similar extension and the manager admitted: "We are both absolutely delighted to sign."
The Burnley boss's current deal was due to expire in the summer, five years after he came to the club from Bury, but now he is ready to lead the Clarets for another season.
Since the pair came to Turf Moor the club has risen from a side that was fighting relegation to the third division to one that has serious ambitions of winning a place in the Premiership.
