BLACKBURN Hawks are keen to get back to winning ways this weekend after a disappointing setback last time out.
The Hawks entertain Sunderland Chiefs in an English League clash at the Arena on Sunday, still smarting from a 9-2 league reverse against arch-rivals Altrincham Aces seven days ago.
"We just didn't gel in that game, it's another example of how inconsistent we have been so far this season," admitted a very disappointed Hawks' player-coach Bobby Haig.
"I've called the senior players together and thrashed out a few issues. The sooner we get back playing to our strengths, the better for everyone.
"To be fair, Wayne Slater and Andy Sheffield played really well against Altrincham. If we can get everyone to up their game like they did, then we will do well.
"Sunderland haven't made the best of starts so this fixture has come at a good time for us. We have trained well this week and we are all looking forward to it."
The Hawks have won three and lost four of their league games so far and need to hit a run of winning form if they are to make the annual target of the play-offs by the end of this campaign.
Sunderland Chiefs ran the Hawks very close in last year's corresponding fixture, but have made a poor start to their campaign. The Wearsiders have just one win out of four, and if Haig's men rally to the cause on Sunday,
they should prove too strong for the visitors.
Action at the Arena on Sunday starts at 6pm, doors open at 5.15 pm.
