AS A regular user of the A666 Blackburn-to-Bolton road, I am surprised the powers that be have allowed parking both sides of the road in the area of the India Mill premises in Darwen now used by the government agency.
This indiscriminate parking of up to 30 to 50 cars causes quite a large traffic problem, bearing in mind the number of heavy goods vehicles using this road.
One must also bear in mind the fire service and ambulance service whose time is of the essence -- a matter of life or death.
I recently witnessed an ambulance behind held up due to an articulated lorry having difficulty driving between the parked cars, some of which were not parked particularly well. This sort of thing could have serious consequences for someone hospital-bound.
