A FOOD in Pendle project was launched at Colne Open Door Centre during a free food-tasting session.
The project, which will be piloted in Waterside, is aimed at encouraging healthier eating as well as raising related issues such as what food is available in local shops and growing your own food.
It is a joint venture between the Open Door Project community centre, Waterbridge Food Co-operative, Pendle Council and local residents.
The project is looking to recruit short-term trainees who will ask local people what they eat, where they shop and how they cook, as well organising community events.
Trainees will be paid £6.20 and receive accredited training and working hours will be flexible.
Anyone interested should contact Sue Hogg at the Open Door Project on 01282 868401 or 860342.
