BACUP went nap to record their third win in four games in NWCL Division Two.
It took Bacup just two minutes to take the lead when Stuart Telfer's goal-bound shot was helped over the line by a Cheadle defender attempting to clear.
On 22 minutes Cheadle were level when they whipped a corner in and keeper Tommy Allen could only watch agonisingly as the wet, greasy ball crossed the line.
On the half hour Cheadle almost took the lead when the cross came in and was headed against the bar, but five minutes later Bacup took the lead through Micky Bartholomew's glancing header.
In the second half Bacup went into overdrive and were soon further in front. Seven minutes into the half Stuart Telfer who made it three and two minutes later Paul Thompson got the fourth.
Substitute Ian McLellan had a goal disallowed and in the closing seconds Telfer headed his third goal and gave Bacup their second convincing win in four days after a 7-0 hammering of Blackpool last Wednesday.
