PUPILS at Norden school in Rishton had some expert advice when they took part in a robotics day as part of the science department's Links with Industry programme.
A team from the Physics and Astronomy Department of the Open University spent a day at the school, working with pupils on the design of robots that would be of use in the community, workplace or home.
Members of the team, who have competed in TV's Robot Wars, displayed some of the robots they have designed and constructed, including some that have featured on the popular programme.
Mr Graham Wolstenholme, managing director of Danley Engineering, Great Harwood, organised the visit with Robofesta UK which aims to motivate children to engage with science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
