STAN Ternent wasted little time telling ITV viewers who is to blame for the current financial crisis in the game - the channel they were watching.
A guest on Granada's Goals on Sunday programme, Ternent was speaking with presenter Alistair Mann who asked him about his extended contract, signed on Friday afternoon.
"My aim has always been for the Premiership, we have finished seventh two seasons running and we want to go higher," he said.
"But since your company dodged off with all the dosh that's become a lot more difficult."
The presenter was clearly unsettled but admitted he had expected something to be said before moving on from the "below the belt" comment.
But the Burnley boss was only voicing the opinion of hundreds of thousands of football fans across the country, angered at the way the collapse of ITV Digital has plunged their teams into financial problems.
