Craig Brown - "I THOUGHT we played well, particularly in the first half. But every team has a spell when they are on top and we were expecting Burnley to come up with all guns blazing at the start of the second half.
"They scored but we showed great resilience and determination to get back into the game.
"We should have been more than one goal up at half time but I am just happy to win a local derby. This is my first Lancashire one and I have to say it was quite tame compared to what I am used to in Glasgow.
"It was very competitive but I thought we had that extra bit of edge and determination although it is great credit to Burnley for their second half display. But I think we deserved it and I think we are capable of getting into the upper echelons of the league."
Stan Ternent - "I THINK the game was about two halves and in the first half we didn't turn up. We were found wanting and didn't compete.
"But in the second half we had enough chances to win three matches. We lacked the hunger and desire in the first half but in the second half we were better.
"When they got the second goal we were in the ascendancy then the third was a fluke and we were chasing the game, so they had the chances on the break, you expect that.
"We are just off the pace a little at the moment and Preston were far better than us in the first half."
