RAMSBOTTOM will play its part in National Inclusion Week to give youngsters and their parents in the area the chance to try something new.
The Early Years Development Childcare Partnership together with other agencies is responding to the challenge of the week, which runs from November 11-15 and is being organised nationally by the Centre for Studies in Inclusive Education, in a variety of ways.
This includes setting up a number of training events, linked to the government's inclusion targets, plus running a series of inclusive events for children in Bury.
Sue Reynolds, Early Years officer, said: "Our aim is to bring the community together in some small way by raising awareness and simply having lots of fun in the process.
"The programme we have put together is not only varied and informative, but for the children especially, it should be really entertaining. Although there is a serious side to Inclusion Week, we do hope to mark it by also having lots of fun in the process. Several of the events are by invitation only, but at others everyone is welcome."
In Ramsbottom, 75 children and parents will go on an East Lancashire Railway Ride on Tuesday, November 12.
There will be various other events taking place throughout the month in the Bury area. For more information contact Bury Metro on 0161 253 6531.
