A TIN bath on three wheels raced past the finishing line in a "soap box derby" that raised more than £350 for charity.
The event was held at the Langho FC Sports and Country Club in aid of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph Magic Eye Appeal.
Entries included the winning tin bath, two bikes welded together and a taboggan made from flat board and pram wheels.
The nine entrants had to race 500m down a hill run back up and race down again, the quickest being the winner.
First past the post was J K Shanley Recovery Services of Blackburn in a bath steered to success by Robert Hargreaves.
About 120 spectators turned out to watch the spectacle, then headed into the clubhouse for potato pie and peas donated by Kemple View, Langho.
Club chairman Malcolm Goldsworthy said: "It was a great event and everyone enjoyed themselves. In fact, it was such good fun that several people have asked if we will hold another and we may turn it into an annual event!"
He thanked everyone who took part in the derby, spectators, Kemple View and people who had donated raffle prizes.
Proceeds will go towards the Lancashire Evening Telegraph Magic Eye Appeal, which aims to raise £200,000 for a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner.
The equipment will benefit the whole of East Lancashire by offering quicker and less traumatic diagnosis of stomach and oesophagus cancer.
