LOVE Begins at Fifty according to Radcliffe United Reformed Church Players.
That is the title of their latest production which you can see next Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Nov 7 to 9).
They are dedicating the performances to the memory of the late Trevor Stubbs, who was a popular member of the players.
The local newspaper plays a central role in this lively new comedy by Raymond Hopkins.
Anita Debanks enters its competition for a second honeymoon on a Caribbean cruise at the same time as her husband Clive replies to the lonely hearts column in an effort to recapture his lost youth. When the paper's photographer arrives to picture the 'happy couple' the mistaken identities provide comedy and confusion all round.
The play is directed by Bill Houghton and while the characters may be suffering a mid-life crisis, the society itself is still going strong after 80 years.
The author is a new writer who donates the royalties he receives to multiple sclerosis.
Performances are at 7.30pm and for ticket details call 253 5069 or 766 8571.
