MAJOR changes planned for Bury town centre's main shopping street will be explained at a public meeting.
The Bury East Area Board is holding special meeting to discuss the new proposals for The Rock area.
The Rock Triangle, as it is known, is at the centre of plans which have been put forward by Thornfield Properties. These involve major redevelopment of the area to the north east of The Rock which could involve major retail, leisure and residential developments.
The meeting will take place at 7pm on Thursday, November 7, in the Peel Room at Bury Town Hall and anyone can attend.
Bury East Area Board chairman, Cllr Trevor Holt, said: "These are very exciting proposals which would obviously have a major impact on the town centre of Bury and the surrounding areas. We would welcome the views of as may people as possible at this early stage to ensure that as far as possible these proposals develop in line with the views of local people."
Thornfield bosses intend to submit a planning application early next year.
