A CAREERS day aimed at getting youngsters interested in working in the health service comes to Clayton-le-Moors on Monday.
Around 120 children from across East Lancashire have been invited and will get the chance to meet and speak to health workers from all walks of life.
The event, at the Junction 7 Business Park has been organised by the NHS Cumbria and Lancashire Workforce Development Confederation with the East Lancashire Education Business Partnership.
An NHS spokeswoman said: "This event is the first of its kind for the NHS and East Lancashire. The children will spend a day with over 30 NHS professionals from local Trusts, listening to speakers and attending workshops.
"They will be able to talk to 'real' NHS professionals about their roles and how they spend their working life, and discover just what it takes to become 'One in a Million'.
"The day aims to show the NHS is not just doctors and nurses with degrees but includes all sorts of health professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds.
