A SOCIAL trip to see Blackpool Illuminations for the elderly residents of Chapel Lodge Nursing Home in Worsthorne turned in to a charity fundraiser.
The 14 residents were taken to Blackpool last month by Kings Taxis in Burnley.
When the home tried to pay the firm £100 for the trip, transport manager Nasar Khan decided to donate the money to the Mayor's charity, which is raising money for a scanner for prostate cancer.
