SPURS midfielder Simon Davies has been one of the stars of the season so far and his international team mate Gareth Taylor admitted: "He is vital for both club and country."
The Welsh striker will take on Davies and Spurs at Turf Moor tomorrow and he knows what a threat the 23-year-old is.
"He has got everything in his game and done amazingly well," he added.
"But we know that Spurs is a huge club with lots of big names and so it is a tough game.
"But all the players and the fans are looking forward to it, a match like this gives everyone a buzz."
Taylor has hit a rich vein of form with four goals in his last six games but he has been frustrated with his most recent efforts against Preston and Grimsby.
"It is a shame when the goals end up being consolations but we know what we have been doing wrong and we have to start putting it right," he said.
"We have looked at it behind closed doors and we will be ready for tomorrow.
"It is always a great time to play a match against a team like Spurs and if you can't get up for a game like this you should not even be playing. It will be a good test for us against a good Premiership squad."
The problems Taylor spoke about have been in defence which is disappointing because going forward the Clarets have been looking good and creating plenty of goal-scoring chances.
The big striker has been linking well with Ian Moore and Robbie Blake and he said: "The three of us gives the manager different options.
"I have never played against Spurs and I am looking forward to it.
"They had a fantastic run last year, losing in the final, and we know they will have their best side out. That is what Glenn Hoddle did last year and I expect the same.
"But this is a good opportunity for us to get back to winning ways and start another run."
