Jed finally took over the Enterprise Inns pub with his partner Joanne Tetlow, 35, after three or four months of negotiations.

But they are already looking to the future with plans to start serving food on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4-7pm and from 12-7pm at the weekend.

The former hospital support worker said they have had a busy few weeks having to juggle the pub and moving in but they have settled in now.

"It helps having worked here before so all the customers know who you are, but we're quite settled now.

"I've also had a lot more experience in the trade -- my parents used to run pubs so you could say I've been in the industry from a very early age."
