GREEN-fingered children have been mucking in to help brighten up Rossendale.
Youngsters in Bacup and Stacksteads have been helping Groundwork Rossendale plant 15,000 daffodils.
Three schools have been involved, Thorn County, Saint Saviour and Holy Trinity as well as the Bacup branch of Barclays Bank and the Bacup Consortium.
So far 12,000 bulbs have been planted with the three schools planting the final few. Groundwork representative Joannne Regan, said: "All the children worked really hard and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the events. They can't wait until the spring."
The project has been funded by the Lancashire Environmental Fund and the Single Regeneration Budget.
