DAMIEN Duff is playing football at a blistering pace that was never seen in the 1960s, with tactics that would have confounded the skills of George Best and Bryan Douglas until a manager like Souness had shaped them into the kind of players in the team Rovers have today.
Mr D Pearson (Sport Letters, October 22) is stuck in the past. Rovers stars are better, fitter and, more importantly, work not as individuals but team players and are a side that has the chance and ability to win the UEFA Cup or FA Cup this season.
