WHAT a privilege it was to be at Celtic Park to take on the might of Celtic and, in the words of Graeme Souness (and barring one lapse in concentration), 'boss the game'.

However, while I would pay tribute to the vast majority of Celtic and Rovers supporters, there were some minority elements of the Rovers following whose behaviour quite frankly made me cringe and wish I had stayed at home to watch it on the BBC.

Chants of 'no surrender to the IRA' coupled with choruses of 'God Save The Queen' were clearly designed to incite the Celtic fans. We were also spat upon by one so-called fan.

Such behaviour has no place in sport and the sooner these mindless morons are identified and excluded, the better it would be for Blackburn Rovers in particular and for football in general.

Rovers have a fantastic travelling support. We have a team of which we can all be proud but unfortunately there is a minority element of support of whom we should all be thoroughly ashamed.
