BACUP manager Brent Peters has won the North West Counties League second division manager of the month award for October.
He becomes the second boss of an East Lancs club in as many months to win the award after Padiham's Graham Howarth won it in September.
It is 13 years since Peters last won it, while he was manager at Glossop.
He said: "Winning this award shows how far we at Bacup Borough have come and that we are progressing in the right direction.
"This award is down to the players. I have had to make unpopular decisions but credit to the players for the way they have responded.
"The last time I won this award was in October 1990 at Glossop. We won a trophy that season so let's hope it is a good omen."
Bacup had mixed results in October, losing at strugglers Castleton and also being beaten by Stand, just before their resignation from the league, and Padiham.
But they got big wins at Daisy Hill, 5-1, and at Blackpool, 7-0, as well as beating Chadderton 1-0.
All Bacup's games are played away from home at the moment as their West View pitch is being resurfaced.
